I've been trying to find this show forever, since i saw a clip of tom maxwell on it. Man, Tom was my favorite musician when i was in high school

I find it a little sad that all this man has done, written, accomplished in his life and these buffoonery acts he did, largely for publicity ($$) are what many people will only remember him for.

They don't make men/people like this anymore. In 2023 it's all about who has the most money. People like Mr. Plimpton, Gore Vidal, William Buckley, Spalding Gray, Peter Ustinov........These people were erudite, educated and worldly just for that! Great dinner company, great story tellers! Who is going to take their place(s).?

Grandma Nancy passed yesterday. After 98 years, shes joined her Mother Alice, Husband John, son Lee and Grandson David. She spent her last year's in Carmel, the place where she was born and raised that she loved so much, exactly as it should be. I'm immensely thankful for this video. Not only does it share Nancy's enduring memories of Carmel and the Monterey Peninsula from generations past, but it also gives those of us that love her living memories to hold on to.

Where are these guys replacements going to come from? William Buckley, Gore Vidal, Chris Hitchens....even Peter Ustinov? People that were erudite and educated simply for that! To be smart! Now we are only interested in education in it's earning power.

Thanks for doing this video. Ed was a principal reason I became a marine biologist. My parents gave me a copy of "Beween Pacific Tides' when I was 12 years old and then in High School I read almost all of Steinbeck's works. The whole thing enflamed my imagination and I wanted to live something like that life and study marine animals.

I happened upon this interview this Saturday morning and was captivated. First, I must say, I objected to the idea of presenting Mary as a human, female and mother, when, according to my belief, she was a singular woman, selected by a Divine Power to be impregnated by the Holy Spirit to be the mother of Jesus Christ, a process to which she freely accepted without understanding how it could or would be. She was visited by angels, and her barren relative, who now, by a miracle, was also pregnant. However, I am curious due to Jane Press's presence and you, as her interviewer. I am now a senior, but am and will always be, the mother of a 3 year old daughter who was murdered by the mother of her 3 year old playmate, in order to cover up the severe head injury, he most likely gave to my child. My daughter's body was missing for a month. The case, with this mother as the only "person of interest", could never be brought to trial. To me, Mary, her life of joy and pain, has always been an example of "Thy will be done". I am still trying to follow this example, though very imperfectly. To me, this has been explanation and challenge enough.Thank you for this interview and reflection. Patricia
